Manara is free to start: its help covers the first third of every book. Subscriptions are billed by Apple, renew automatically until cancelled, and are cancelled in your App Store settings: open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Refunds are also handled by Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
You can read your own EPUB and PDF files, or start with one of the classics on the shelf. The books themselves work offline; asking, defining, translating and imagining need a connection.
Manara answers only from the pages you have already read. If the answer is further on, it will say “not yet”. If you ever see it reach past your page, please tell us which book and where; we treat that as a bug.
Signing in keeps your place, highlights and notebook in step between your iPhone and iPad. Deleting your account in the app erases everything stored under it. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is kept and why.
